Support MFVA

Dear friend of optometry,

You know vision is a gift.

That's why you can appreciate the joy of nearly 700 young Special Olympic athletes receiving prescription glasses.  Or, knowing that 150 children of Northern Michigan migrant workers received free vision screenings and follow-up care.

The Michigan Foundation for Vision Awareness is thrilled to partially fund these projects.  But we need your financial support to expand our efforts.

The Foundation started years ago as an organization of spouses of optometrists, to promote eye care awareness.  Today, it's your Foundation.  It is the only optometric established non-profit foundation in Michigan.

Together, we can make a remarkable difference.

Your Foundation awards scholarships to outstanding optometry students who plan to practice in Michigan.  We partially fund optometry students to travel on eye care mission trips to Peru, Mexico and Honduras.

Your Foundation provides grants to non-profit clinics in Michigan that provide essential eye care services to those in need.  We fund significant vision-related research at universities.

Please help us continue this vital work with a financial contribution today.

Alternatively, you can mail a check in care of MFVA Treasurer Micah Taylor, 19320 Golfview Drive Big Rapids MI 49307.  By becoming an MFVA contributor you will be informed of upcoming foundation events and opportunities to assist in educating the public on vision care issues; you will also receive a periodic MFVA Foundation Report.

100% of your contribution is tax-deductible according to IRS regulations.

Thank you for sharing and supporting our commitment to vision and eye health.  We can't do this vision-saving work without you.

Sincerely,
Cynthia Geneva, OD
MFVA President
